16 Days against Gender-based Violence 2019
For the 16 Days of Activism against GBV in 2019, WLP partners engaged in advocacy activities including demonstrations, press conferences, marches, digital awareness-raising campaigns, and trainings, all with the focus of ending gender-based violence. WLP international compiled facts, strategies, and insight from activists from WLP partner organizations on gender-based violence in their countries and shared these facts on social media as part of a digital awareness campaign. The 12 posts on WLP’s Facebook account received over 100 unique likes, comments, or shares and WLP partners also shared these quotes and insights on their own organizational social media pages, increasing their reach and creating a partnership-wide campaign.
